Do you think that people who use Linux are communists?

-Quite the opposite. Obviously Linux is about freedom, and the opposite (close source) is about big corporations getting rich.

BTW: About 80% of all web servers are running Linux. Almost all mobile phones run some form of Linux. All DVR use Linux. Almost all banks use Linux (except on the desktop). Denney's uses Linux. Almost all modern bank card terminals run Linux. GM, Lexus, BMW, and most of the others are planning to use Linux in their cars. You are a Linux user and do not even know it.

Remember the Y2K? It did not happen because Linux does to keep track of the date in that way. Windows and DOS were vulnerable.Quite the opposite. Obviously Linux is about freedom, and the opposite (close source) is about big corporations getting rich.

here is a definition --

communism is a sociopolitical movement that aims for a classless and stateless society structured upon common ownership of the means of production, free access to articles of consumption, and the end of wage labour and private property in the means of production and real estate

now add linux to that

are you other answerers seriously saying that linux is not based on common ownership -

as far as i know most of linux is free, open source,

that it hasn't got free access -

as far as i know linux is free for anyone

and are you saying that linux is private property -

as far as i know linux is free for anyone to share, give away, change, do whatever you want with

now answer the question

and as a note - i think you should google capitalism
Hmmmm, the free to all, open source, community based, not rape your computer and spy on you operation system? NO. I'd think THAT would make it the most American OS out there.

The people running Windows should be considered the commies, or slaves depending on your view.
absolutely not.

Linux users may generally be more clever, with the distro requiring the user to at least have basic programming knowledge, but that does not at all mean they are communist.
An utterly outrageous question. A troll. Call it what you like but such a question has no place here.

LUg.
I use Linux... I'm definitely not a communist.
