-Opinions? Complaints? Problems? Idk I've heard it's pretty bad.If you are interested in using it, what you need to do is to give time for bugs to be discovered and ironed out. I would wager for every user of Macs there is a different system because of chosen preferences and apps used.
I've read of problems but don't know for certain that all of them are Lion related in lieu of user related. Read of a few minor complaints because people don't know what Lion does on their system or how to change something that comes with the default install.
As far as your possibly considering...some apps may not run if they were designed to run on PowerPC's, some of the features may of Lion may not work on some of the older Macs, and if disk utility (verify and fix permissions, along with verify disk) is not run before downloading Lion, there the possibly of install issues.
For App compatibility consider checking the link #1 below
For Lion feature compatibility check Link #2.
For permissions, go to utilities and run Disk Utility: verify and repair permissions and verify disk.Mac OSX Lion is currently running very smooth on my iMac with no problems at all. The new features are awesome and very useful. Some people are complaining about the inverted scrolling (you'll immediately notice it once you install Lion) but this no "problem" since you can easily disable it from System Preferences. For $29.99, it's definitely a worthy upgrade.
