Do I need ArcSoft Photo Studio?

-My sytem is running slow, telling me to clean out unused files etc. I notice that ArcSoft has used 2,096 mb, last used 9/2010. Do I need this or can I delete freeing up the 2,096mb it has usedHi There,

ArcSoft Photo Studio is a photo editing software and it is commonly installed with driver software from printer, camera or scanner install disks.

ArcSoft is a decent "lite" editor that works OK and is included so the user of the printer, camera or scanner will have a program to edit their work.

To answer your question: it can be uninstalled to recover hard drive space. Use "Add/Remove programs" for removing ( don't just delete the folder )

To clean out files run "disk cleanup" on your computer to remove the many temp files on your computer. You also should run "defrag" to optomize the file locations on the hard drive.

Disk clean and defrag are already part of Windows. Do a search for "speed up my computer" for more information.

Hope this helps,

Al
